Decisions....

This summer has been quite a journey for me emotionally. Huge things happening, huge things to happen in the near future and a very difficult decision for me to make is coming up.

I just want my friends to try and understand. And if you can't, just don't judge me. That's all I ask because I guarantee you, YOU HAVE NO IDEA!!!!!

Will update soon...

What a PIG!!!

If you're my friend on Facebook you already know how terrible our pot bellied pig, Pork Chop, is. She has such bad inside manners now because she has to spend so much time outside while we're away at work. Usually we just let her in when we get home but make sure there are no purses, back packs, bags or anything of importance or value within her reach. She will destroy anything, especially if it's important to you. I've learned several times the HARD way! Fortunately for me she doesn't chew on shoes or else I would have sent her packing a long time ago.

So...my Mom came into town today for a couple of days because we see the Neurosurgeon tomorrow and she has a lot of questions. Since her Mother died with Ataxia, she is deeply concerned since I've been diagnosed with Chiari Malformation because it can be hereditary and she can't imagine her baby dying the horrible death her Mother did. Also, I'm having Facet Injections and I need a driver, so she is going to be my driver. Well....my Mom can't stand Pork Chop. "She's a PIG", Mom says. "What did you expect?", she also says and so on. When Mom is here, the pig stays outside. I had to work late today since I'll be off work tomorrow so Mom volunteered to take Kennedy to soccer practice at 5:00. Jon is gone to baseball practice with Jakob. When I got home, I closed all of the doors and made sure there were no purses or overnight bags laying around and let Pork Chop inside because this will be all her inside time today with Mom here. After I let her in I went to the "ladies room" and was in the middle of a magazine article about Sandra Bullock and her drama when I heard commotion. Bags rattling + Pork Chop =BAD. So I hopped up, pants around the ankles and running towards her already screaming "PORK CHOP!!!!" She had a plastic grocery bag in her possession dragging it away as quickly as she could and she and I started to wrestle. I won. But not without some damage to the gooey contents of the bag. Inside there were 4 gallon size baggies full of liquidy dough labeled "Batter 03/20". Ruh Roh!!!!

I called Mom to ask her what was in the bags. She said that it was some Amish bread batter that she had spent $70 on and had to ferment for 10 days and today is.............DAY 10! When she got back from soccer we surveyed the damage and 2 of them were punctured and oozing. I told Mom to go ahead and bake them anyway and that the heat would kill any germs that might have gotten in. Ooooh noooooo. Nuh uh!! "Throw 'em away" with her little twangy Southern accent. I told her to cook them separately and that we would eat them, we aren't afraid of piggy germs. She just stared at me without speaking like I was crazy, arms crossed.

So, Mom is in my kitchen right now gettin' her "Amish" on. I love it when she's here. Feels like home.....

Facet Injections

After my visit with the Spine Specialist on Friday we decided to go ahead and with injections this coming week and I'll also meet with a Neurosurgeon to talk about Chiari Malformation and what we should do about it. Hopefully surgery is the last option, I can't even imagine having brain surgery but it may be necessary. In the last 2 years I've gone from bad to really bad and medications are not doing the trick.

So my wonderful Mom is coming to town tomorrow because she has many questions for the Neuro and she has to drive me to/from my "surgery". Thank you sedation!! I've had these before back in 2005, from what I remember they weren't bad at all and by the time the medication kicked in, I didn't care about needles in my spine!

Also this week we have soccer, baseball, baseball, soccer and I may or may not get to see my love because he's working crazy hours and playing lots of music lately. I miss my Bunny.

Now....off to clean my house for the Mom....
